In a dramatic early evening shooting, two men were shot to death on Interstate 10, tying up eastbound lanes filled with rush hour motorists according to Houston police. The shooter remains at large after fleeing the scene, police said.
"Unreal scene just witnessed on I-10 in Houston," tweeted Daniel Gotera of KHOU. "A guy gets out of his car with gun just shooting in the middle of freeway. Unbelievable." Police said they do not believe the shooting is related to road rage. Interstate 10 east at John Ralston Road was closed due to the incident with traffic backed up for hours.

5th Ward Texas...
Woah. I had just exited I-10 less than a quarter mile from there right around that time. If I had missed my exit, I would have driven right through it.
Glad you weren’t caught in the crossfire. Agree with your “whoa!” lol
Yup.
That is way out on the east side of town, pipe yards and cow pastures?
You were not the one that fired his pistol out the window at the shooter.
My car is a cop magnet color, too could have been a bullet magnet
Immediately past the 90/Crosby Freeway exit east of town
That’s right, unusual place to stage that.
Hispanics and blue collar whites on that side of town. Doesnt fit the normal profile of privileged white loser living in mommys basement.

Hard working people there in Jacinto City. High dollar blue collar job area.
Still densely populated there. Heavily Hispanic. You dont get to the cow pastures really until you get pas Baytown.
My bet is it was one of the locals.
Cow pastures was tongue in cheek, but you know what I mean if you are from around there.
Thats right. Come to think of it, there was a rooftop sniper ambush that happened right around there, off Maxey, a few months ago. It was a local high schooler with a grudge, probably gang related.
I wouldnt be shocked if this was something similar.
There was a time, many years ago, I use to burn all them beer joints down till closing time.Lots of memories, trucks and oilfield trash.
I live on a dead end road in the hills of NE Alabama now, retired and no more city chaos.
