maybe per the next thread, Trump should warn La Pierre to get his act together or he might find the NRA against him as well.

I don’t agree with staying home, but there are single-issue voters out there. These are people who disagree with the GOP on every other issue, but vote GOP because of its stance on RKBA. Betray them on that issue, and they vote Democrat. There’s also people for whom the only reason to vote is RKBA issues and a president who stabs them in the back on that has basically given them a reason to skip the elections.

You can agree or disagree with these single issue voters, the way you can agree or disagree with someone who likes the color purple. But you can’t ignore them as a matter of practical politics, and you will pay the price if you cross them.

Why would it be stupid? Trump supports denying fundamental 2nd Amendment rights to individuals accused, not convicted of what? May possibly might in the near future kill themselves or maybe others. Oh wait, there will be due process but that will not occur until after the fact if ever.
Tell me anything worse then denying citizens their inalienable right to keep and bear arms on specious claims or because of a VA database.
So yes, Trump signs Red Flag law I will sit on my hands come Nov 2020.

Trump is already and has been previously linked to the NRA.
This is not a bad thing.

Don’t say “We’re warning you.” Say “We are confident that this president loves the 2nd Amendment and will do the right thing.”
That’s a much better way than trying to sound like you’ve got our hero DJT on a short leash.

Possibly. Any conservative who stays home instead of voting for Donald Trump is not thinking clearly. What is critical now is to get Trump reelected.

...draw up a bill for extensive background checks on purchasing a firearm, voter ID, immigration. All three go together.
Hmmm. Add buying booze and marijuana, too.

I agree we have a President and Senate in control. If some laws need to be wrote I’d preferred it be under them vs. losing the election for President and Senate and having the Dems totally write an amendment and ban guns when they are in control.

Let's follow that through. How would another Democrat regime affect suburbanites around big cities as compared to rural people? Notice that Democrats are leaning much more towards taxing higher incomes real good.
And an economic collapse would be big fun in those suburbs. Rural people have many ways to keep firearms with fields littered with little bits of metal (e.g., spent cartridge cases all over the place). Suburbanites, not so much. Rural people more often tend to know their neighbors and to be more cohesive in crises. Suburbanites...?
Crop exports would resume more voluminously (see ties between Democrat commies and their comrades overseas). Rural people are far less regulated in much of the greener part of thee country and tend to work on regardless of other national circumstances. Peace in the country would continue. Good ol' boys will survive. Try us. Don't mess with our Second Amendment.

Democrats will eventually take the Executive and Legislative, and we see what they're going to do next time. They'll outlaw everything then, so they're going to do it anyway. What's the big plan for that eventuality?
And remember that the Supremes refuse to take cases in regards to firearms taken and owners imprisoned without due process (VAWA, etc.).
