A made-for-TV drama about the Clinton-Lewinsky sex scandal couldn’t debut at a worse possible time for Democrats — just weeks before the 2020 presidential election.
FX has announced that “American Crime Story: Impeachment” will chronicle former President Bill Clinton’s encounter with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky and the impeachment proceedings that followed.
The release date, Sept. 27, 2020 — could be a political pain for Democrats. Election Day is on Nov. 3.
“Timing is everything and the timing they chose couldn’t be worse for the Democrats,” said political consultant Hank Sheinkopf, whose clients have included Clinton and former Mayor Mike Bloomberg. “It’ll be a great day for Donald Trump.”
Veteran TV reporter Mark Harris tweeted, “Airing this during the final six weeks of the 2020 election is an abysmal idea … I hope FX reconsiders the timing.”
Filmmaker April Wolfe added, “I’m sure this new American Crime Story will be interesting and good but am also sure I won’t be able to handle it coming out right around the 2020 election when Trump desperately wants to rehash Trump vs. Clinton.”
Although neither Bill nor Hillary will be on the ticket, the TV show could haunt whichever Dem becomes the party’s standard-bearer, Sheinkopf said.
“The question will be, especially with the Me Too movement … where was [Joe] Biden and all the others and why didn’t they act? Why didn’t they protect this woman?” he said.

That's disappointing that she is involved. I know that the homosexual Ryan Murphy has been 1 of the executive producers over the past 2 seasons. I watched the 1st season about the OJ murder trial. I thought it was excellent. I read somewhere that season 2 was going to be about Hurricane Katrina/NOLA-2005, but that didn't happen. Instead they served up the homosexual murder case of fashion mogul Gianni Versace. I passed on it.

I think this will be Lewinsky’s ‘version’ of the period, and will tell her side of the story. I don’t see a problem with that, but will admit....the timing of this is comical. I suspect that FX is waiting on someone to sponsor the show, and pay extra to arrange for it to be two weeks after the election.
In Lewinsky’s version, the villain isn’t the gross old man who shoved a cigar up her vagina - it’s Linda Tripp, the woman who prevented her involuntary suicide.

They are crying Brer rabbits. Book this was based on hit the Starr investigation hard. Movie will be worse. Focus will be on how Republicans persecuted a little girl and were just vicious in their investigation about private sex lives. This will not hurt Democrats one bit.

The Dems, with media collaboration, have successfully controlled the narrative about Monica. They made it about a president’s personal life, when in fact she had been subpoenaed as part of Paula Jones’ successful sexual harassment lawsuit against BJ Clinton. THAT was the story (the Paula Jones suit and settlement), yet the Dems and their media made it about a disgusting man who perpetrated his acts with a consenting adult.
I agree. Many seem excited about a story like this right before the election but I think they forget how Hollywood twists and spin stories and fabricates to a point that it doesn’t resemble reality or history at all.
We will see. Given the list, Hillary could be drafted at the convention as the best option.
I am of the opinion that if there is a “draft” at the convention it will be Hellary. I could make a case for Kerry. It all depends on whether hard core ex-wives and lesbians have sufficient numbers to control or intimidate the convention. If they can then Hellary for sure, if they can’t it lowers the probably of Hellary. It lowers it to that point a more “rational choice” might emerge like Kerry.
One more reason to split the country - one country for liberals - one for traditional Americans. Hollywood can be the cultural center for 'liberal land' - a country surrounded by a sea of happy illegals from every third world hellhole on the planet, extreme gun control laws, and a living 'Constitution' that changes at the whim of white liberal elites. BIG PERK for Hollywood Abusers...
Liberals will be so happy and we'll be so happy NOT to have each other on our countries. It's time for a divorce... split the country into two countries.

Lewinsky’s version will focus on Starr and dirty old Republicans vile enough to investigate what she claims was personal.
What’s so hard for them? Clinton finished his term, vanquished Elian Gonzalez, and wiped us out in the 1998 off year elections. This should be pleasant nostalgia for them.
