Washington, DC The American Firearms Coalition has just released an online poll of more than 20,000 gun owners conducted over the last 18 hours indicating that 65% of gun owners say they will not vote for President Trump if he signs Red Flag Gun Confiscation into law.

Do NOT believe in these polls.
First of all, this is a rope-a-dope.It requires the Democraps to sit down and negotiate with Trump. They won’t do that, and by next week all this will be old news that the liberal lying flying monkey media can’t keep alive.
As a case manager, I dealt with more than one scary, crazy individual-since the late 1970’s, it has become steadily more difficult to have such a client committed to a psych facility, no matter how frightened their family, co-workers, etc are of them or what they have done short of an outright physical assault injuring someone seriously. There simply are no “real” long term care psych facilities-what usually happens IF the family can get the person committed at all is that they are in the facility getting psychotherapy and druge for 60-90 days-after which they are released with as many as 5 different psychotropic meds to take, so that they are zombified, delusional or doing the Thorazine shuffle-and they are supposed to go for outpatient psychotherapy, etc.
It is a bad solution-they end up not taking the drugs(and who can blame them really-ever seen what those meds can do to a person?) they are lonely and angry, they can’t work, so they get on the internet go to violent and terrorist-encouraging websites and then REALLY bad things happen-they run off and become part of the homeless population or they start contemplating violence-it is a f’d up situation, and all the red flag laws in the world won’t help-only long term psych care facilities will keep those people from harming people-cars are already a fav weapon in Europe for crazies...
The seriously dangerous mentally ill need to be institutionalized, not on the street or in mom’s basement plotting an act of domestic terror...

Its a Bloomberg article, so I cant quote any content from it.
And yes, he hoisted the red flag.

Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Seriously, what alternative is there?
Say, No red flag! The next rally might be an opportunity to be heard chanting while walking back out in an orderly manner. Some small posters with hammer and sickle flags with “not” symbols over them might help get the message across the vast gap between us and the noisy elite.
No red flag! No red flag! No red flag!

Agreed. However if people answered the poll with the thinking; “I don’t like it, but I’d still vote for him”. The headline would be:
SHOCK POLL: 65% of Gun Owners Say They want Red Flags
Sometimes you have to start negotiations on the far end. It’s the Art of the Deal.
Doubters want to try us again, even after the lesson taught with the Obama regime. Freedom comes first. No red flag or no vote!
Or they will vote third party as a number did in my area after the elected Ron Paul delegates to to the 2008 and 2012 Republican National Conventions were treated like crap when they could not be bribed.
I voted Trump because in spite of his checkered background, I had some confidence in two of the men who at times were major players in his campaign. I knew them from years before in the Young Republican organization. After his election they were taken away from their homes in the night in what was once considered military style raids.
Now it is apparent we have competing oligarchs fighting for wealth and power with the only real difference is with one group total NWO control comes a little faster. To use a quote from an episode of the old Twilight Zone which I watched when it was first screened, “Really doesn’t make very much difference, because sooner or later, all of us will be on the menu... all of us.”.
You are probably exactly right. He's done it before. But conservative gun owners would be idiots to sit silently on their hands hoping he gets it and not let him know exactly how bad they think this idea is.
Trump knows that the first rule of negotiation is to be loud and strong. (see Kim Jong Un) There is no reason gun owners should be timid in response to the possibility of Red Flag laws.
Speak up loudly now and make sure he knows that this won't fly.
This far out from the election there are a lot more than two choices available.
What's going to get passed? It's the job of Congress to pass laws. Doesn't mean that it'll pass and reach the President's desk.
You can paraphrase and not be on the legal hook. :)
He should listen
They will vote for the dems instead?
No, theyll stay home.
As Biden would say, bingo. I will not vote for Trump if he takes any further action (illegal bump stock ban) restricting gun ownership. To do so will send the message that gun control advocates will be rewarded and further embolden the GOPe. No thanks. So gun grabbers might get elected. Are we any worse off?
Trump called for laws to ensure that those "judged a grave risk to public safety do not have access to firearms" and declared "mental illness and hatred pulls the trigger, not the gun."
Those laws exist at the state level, not federal.
However, in a tweet earlier in the day, Trump seemed to open the door to such measures, but tied them to immigration overhaul.
"Republicans and Democrats must come together and get strong background checks, perhaps marrying ... this legislation with desperately needed immigration reform," Trump tweeted.
Which of course will never happen, the progs will not touch anything related to immigration except total amnesty.
In a joint statement, House speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called on Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to bring the Senate back from recess to take up House passed gun control legislation.
So, they want gun control, not red flag laws, so it is still out of the game.
Trump ally Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., is calling for a red flag law, also known as an extreme risk protective order.
Again, crafting a federal law that would work for all fifty states is a non-starter, such laws must be enacted at the state level. So calling for such a law is just political noise.
Following Trump's remarks, the CEO of the American Psychological Association blasted the president's link to mental illness. "Blaming mental illness for the gun violence in our country is simplistic and inaccurate and goes against the scientific evidence currently available," Arthur Evans' statement said.
Evans also stressed that "the overwhelming majority of people with mental illness are not violent. And there is no single personality profile that can reliably predict who will resort to gun violence."
So the American Psychological Association has now squarely stuck it's foot in it's mouth by stating Red Flag laws will NOT work because no single personality profile that can reliably predict who will resort to gun violence."
Thank you Mr. Arthur Evans.
All of this is non-productive political showboating as we are solidly in the election campaign and the progs know gun control is a BIG loser.
Both of the nutcase shooters are and were flaming libs so the narrative of Trump's fault can be reversed onto anyone continuing to use it.
Check back in one week when the cacophony is not so deafening.
