Israel allying with the Saudis is dancing with the devil. Both the Sauds and the Iranian government are evil and if Israel thinks it can dance with one and not be stained, it’s wrong.

That’s a complete pivot, and I’m a better dancer than to allow myself to be led that way. Better to have Trump break up the dance altogether, by taking away Iran’s lubrication. Free and independent Khuzestan, Greater Kurdistan, with maybe Baluchistan thrown in for a cherry on top. A reformed and forward-thinking Persia might result, but if not, they will not be able to make as much trouble anymore without the Khuzestan oil fields. No need for Israel to get involved with either KSA or Persia. Under this scenario, we remain happy neutral wall flowers, with nobody duking it out.
In 1921, the British and French divided up the Ottoman Empire along Pan Arab-ist lines. Persia, not being part of that empire, remained um-divided. The result has been bad for everyone, including the Arabs. We can’t go back and do it over, but we can at least repair a genuine injustice being perpetrated against an Arab people right now, and liberate Khuzestan from Persian tyranny.
Trump is in a position to simultaneously avert a war and right this wrong. Everyone wins, including the Persian people, whose rich culture and history are being reduced to a corrupt theocracy and exporter of terror and death. Art of the Deal.

The US brought it on itself by refusing to sell oil to the Japanese. So FDR should have—what? Just sucked up Pearl Harbor? The world does not work that way. The UK was enforcing international sanctions in conjunction with its close ally the United States. If it allows its ships to be seized unchallenged, it will have war soon enough anyway, but on Iran’s terms, which will be dictated by Putin.

The 13 colonies were never independent at one point. Bangladesh was never independent until recently. Pakistan was never independent until 1948, and India’s independence was subsumed in European imperialism for hundreds of years. Since Bar Kochba’s revolt, Israel was not independent until 1948. Kenya was never independent until 1967(?).
What is it with you and history. That which has never been sometimes must at last be, because its time has come. I’ll take an independent Khuzestan over a regional conflagration any day. And a Greater Kurdistan deserves a chance, too.

Nobody is Aryan, nobody ever was Aryan. It’s a pernicious myth along with the lost city of Atlantis and the German “Master Race,” best sunk beneath the waves of time.
They cannot study their native language, but it remains the lingua franca. There are always significant populations in addition to the majority, in every corner of the earth. If you think Israel is made up of Jews and “Palestinians” only, you are in for some surprises.
I am presently reading a long and boring policy paper from the UK Home Office regarding Ahwazi refugees and how their applications for asylum should be treated by Her Majesty’s Government, which includes a lot of information about this, and cross-references to more expansive sources.
