I’m with you 100% mrsmel! I’ll be crawling alongside...LOL...even to vote for GOPers I don’t particularly like. What people here don’t realize is that it’s all a numbers game, and we have to have the numbers to support Trump.
That said, I’m in Europe now, where I travel fairly often and have (conservative) friends, and you cannot believe the nonsense that even my conservative friends believe about Trump and the things he has said or done. The international press is doing us enormous damage because they take all of their marching orders from the NYT, which they seem to believe is some kind of beacon of truth. Disgusting.
Well thank God the Euroweenies can’t vote in our elections (even if the ‘rats try to have illegals vote in them) :)
Remember when we had that great majority, when Newt Gingrich came up with the Contract With America? I know that not much came of it, but something is better than nothing, even if that something is just to hold what we have now. It sure beats the “progress” that the “progressives” will inflict upon us if we don’t get majorities and President Trump re-elected.
The GOP will know that it has no excuses, nowhere to hide, if they get majorities in both houses and Trump as second term president. That’s of course never stopped them from doing nothing before, but at least they’re out in the open, and the career politicians (almost all of them except Trump) have further ambitions in politics, so they have to take at least some of the conservative agenda into account. If we can just stave off things like amnesty, more gun control, etc, for a while longer, that would be something.
