There is good and evil in all of us.

Most of us have a majority of good.

However, some have a majority of evil and some leaders promote this evil with their lies for their purposes which causes confusion.

Evil will not triumph, but it will cause problems and destruction in the short term.

We need to Trust in God and choose good, even when the other side chooses evil.

Because a country, most assuredly America, is not a team effort. America was intended, and will hopefully remain, a framework where individual are allowed to think, go, do, and be what they want as individuals.

Like-minded individuals can and do voluntarily come together as societies. In America within that/those societies, there are rules, but they should not ever interfere with the exercise of individual volition. Remember that the next time the hoa does something particularly onerous.

As to uniting in the face of evil. That takes a team. Want nazis gone, join a team. Stop the threat of expanding world communism, join a team. Want to stop random individuals who for whatever reason decide to do violence, there is a team to join (Law enforcement officers), but they cannot be everywhere at once. Additionally they are not responsible for individual, personal security. That is an individual responsibility.

Any rule that takes away the means of individual personal security is not only unconstitutional, but against any natural state for individual volition.

Uniting against evil might sound great and good, but uniting to suppress even the smallest exercise of just volition is not good or great, but more evil than the altruistic goal intended.

Ben, you are splitting hairs that cannot be split and pouring out semantic absurdities. Our constitutional conservatism had its origins in British common law a product of normans, anglo-saxons and danes fighting it out. It is a white man's construct, as we are constantly reminded by folks who want a "living" constitution. And our belief in our constitution and our oath to defend the same is "nationalism."
