Not a good day for Turner to support disarming laws.

Will they use Chicago as a model for successful gun control laws...or Washington DC?

I have an AR-15, not a military assault weapon. So comforting that they won't mess with my civilian firearms. /s

I hope someone primaries this traitor and anyone also like him.

Military weapons are paid for by taxpayers, PUBLIC PROPERTY. As a result,in the past, when such firearms were no longer needed by the Military, they were sold at auction to the highest bidder, returning the funds to the treasury.
But not since the M14, as it was a select fire weapon.

Military STYLE weapons means any weapon that looks, but is not military.

Both work out so well. Guess DC works because there are so many different federal law enforcement in the district as the DC folks are incompetent on their own.

Remember when Congress banned those “evil” 5-shot bolt action army surplus rifles in 1968 because they were military?

Police rifles, off the same assembly line, with the same markings were A-OK! They weren’t military.

Come to find out, the reason they were banned was not to control crime, as they said, but to protect Winchester, Remington and Savage from very cheap competition.

We can atop these mass killings if we just pass one more gun law.

It is not supposed to work. They do not expect or want it to work. Neither “Crime Control” nor “Public Safety” is what they are after. Their aim and goal is the total and complete disarming of the American Public. It has been since the 1920s when the Socialists and Communists began their quest to subvert and take over the United States of America and continues through this minute. The guises they worked through were “Crime Control and later on Public Safety. In this vein gun control laws were enacted. Plus they relaxed the criminal laws that actually did control crime. And slowly but surely relaxed and lessened the penalty for certain crimes. They abolished the death penalty for violent crimes such as kidnapping [referred to as man stealing in the Old Testament] and rape, and are in the process of abolishing the death penalty for murder. The public seeing the gun laws are not working, demand stricter gun laws and the process repeats itself until it results in confiscation. Instead of insisting on criminal control laws that do work. The public is playing right into the hands of the Left, Socialists, Communists, and Democrats all the same tribe, just different families. This Red Flag that is being and enacted and implemented is the Left’s wet dream come true. After it has been in effect for six months or a year people will rue the day they thought of it.

The gun owners they kill while confiscating weapons will be used as evidence that confiscation is necessary.

And the ban did not actually outlaw any semi-auto guns. Only certain features like flash suppressors and bayonet lugs. If the ban were still in place today, the only difference would be that you could not legally buy 20/30 round magazines.

The problem, of course, is it's just the low-hanging fruit for the Democrats. You give them every one of their so-called "common sense gun laws" they're screaming for - the background checks, red flag laws, magazine limits, etc. - and when the mass shootings inevitably don't stop despite their holding this up as THE fix, they'll be right back for more. We got a taste of it with the Las Vegas shooting and bump stocks, the Virginia shooting and suppressors, etc. Every new mass shooting after giving them everything they want will create some new "problematic" thing, be it the aforementioned things, body armor, whatever.

They know exactly what they're doing, and they're not going to stop until they destroy the Second Amendment. They will never be satisfied with just the current "common sense" things they want.
