President Trump delivers remarks on the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.

Yes! Thank you. We used to steer our youth towards responsible behavior. It is why America worked so well.
And now we have 16 USMC folks busted for smuggling illegals. Seal Team 7 sent home from the ME for conduct unbecoming. WTH? Big break down somewhere.
A tight national red flag law would undue all these too strict state ones.
That is why red flag laws are so pernicious: The accused has his or her rights stripped without constitutional due process.
Whiner...endless whining
hippie! ... endlessly hippying!
Well, yes. That is one of the reasons for joining the Navy was so that I could help defend folks rights to strip away my rights. Or something. Friggin’ looney toon time.
Yeah, we are now at the inversion stage.
They seem to always advise him. Not to mention, they are always involved in meetings and traveling overseas as well.
Even at that, they will take criticism from their extreme Leftist supporters for their masquerade of "compromise". That will be touted as proof to the gullible that they are being "reasonable".
President Trump gains nothing from supporting such proposals, and alienates some of his base.
Its a win-win for the Democrats. What gets rewarded, gets repeated too. Anytime the Democrats run into obstacles they can encourage the next round of lunatics to come out from under rocks and commit some atrocity, then use that crisis as a justification for new Government restrictions.
Surely you have noticed by now that these mass-killers all seem to have a distinct Leftist background or are actually registered Democrats. Social Contagion is the mechanism for activating them, and each incident lowers the threshold of messaging that is needed to do so.
We have seen this play out too many times before.
What a dumb comment.
It would guarantee no more shootings at walmart. Hey, I’m channeling allysa milano.
That should do the trick.
“We treat them with whatever therapy modern drugs are available.”
And there is the rub. Many of those drugs can lead to behavioral problems. Yes they work wonders for many people but I have to ask whether in a certain subset of the population (males of a certain age) they do more harm than not. And even among that population (young men on certain medication) I think it would be very difficult to determine who is likely to take fascination with guns and violent imagery and turn to mass murder.
Another issue that nobody seems willing to mention is how the loss of the stabilizing, civilizing presence that women used to provide to men has been lost for a great many young males. Combine that with absent fathers and you have quite a few young men who have no clue how to get out of adolescence and into adulthood.
“.... certain subset of the population (males of a certain age) they do more harm than not ..”
That’s true with all drugs! Vast majority they perform as advertised, for some they do nothing (small number!), for some (A very small number!) they maim, & for some they kill (A very very small number!). Sometimes under supervised care it may take several tries before the right drug or combination is found. Key is supervised care!
This is why used must bring back institutionalized care & close supervision even if they are above the age of majority!
The rest I agree!
Sure you saw this but just in case:

Telling the truth is not good for one’s political career any more apparently.
