Nobody counted the murders in Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, LA, Kansas City, St Louis, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, NYC, and others. I don’t know the exact number, but will wager there were at least 25 murders in these other cities to add to the 39 in 2 cities. The difference is most of the others are black on black and they happen week after week.

Yep. I took a look at his Twitter feed and almost all emotional responses as to why he shouldn’t have said it, etc. Liberals act based off emotions and feelings, not facts. That is why tweets like this upset them.

said, "Any mention of how many die from glow bull warning every day."

That is a good point. These killers are eco-fascists which is based on climate anxieties. DeGrasse took the wind out of the assassins sails. The leftist know that and are upset with him for it.

Because signaling virtue, these days, is as good if not better than actually being virtuous and doing virtuous deeds, especially virtuous deeds which call for sacrifice-on your own part, not everyone else’s (like yammering about global warming at conferences where every participant arrived by jet and limo, while exhorting the peons to ride bicycles. Or hectoring the peasants to turn off the AC and turn down the heat, while the saints doing the hectoring leave the lights on in every single room of one of their 50 room mansions).

So pretty much a normal weekend in Chicago.

His shipmates sure seem butthurt. Neil shouldn’t be spouting the truth.

Hmmm.
If he doesn’t cave after he’s savaged by the left, I might just pick up his Cosmos dvds.
Fast forwarding through the Obama intro, of course.

Sardines school up to defend against predation. They defend the many by losses of the few. Guns are humanity's effective schooling up.

Without guns we are all at risk. Founders knew this and those who wish to dominate and destroy America hate the second amendment.

He may have changed. He was recently cleared of fake metoo charges at work. May have realized he was on the wrong side.

I don't remember this level of outcry after the Garlic Festival shootings, and the El Paso shooting is the focus of Partisan Media Shill attention, because Dayton doesn't fit The Narrative. Recent keyword "banglist", chrono sorted:

He’s apparently thinking along the same lines I am. I did a little poking around, and some math too, after looking through the news reports and quite a few comments about the shootings this weekend.

Here’s some of what I found...

I keep hearing we have more guns in this country than people...OK so let’s say 300 million guns. Yes that’s a low estimate, at least 315 million people but I wanted just a round number, and somewhere close. So I used the generic figure 300 million.

I have to wonder why we don’t see millions of people killed every year if liberals are right, guns kill people...Of course we know they are wrong, a person has to pick the thing up and pull the trigger. And liberals are consummate liars...

OK so let’s say 300 million guns, just for the sake of argument.

Total number of firearm murders in 2017 (According to CDC numbers) 14,542.

A little quick math shows that means .0000485% of the guns in this country were used to commit murders. And that’s actually a low number, if we do have more guns than people, and does not distinguish between legally and illegally acquired guns. That;s also total guns, not subdivided into rifles etc, and also not subdivided into gang shootings, mass shootings etc. Just overall total number of murders.

In the CDC list of causes of death, guns don’t even make the top 10. The top 10 are:

Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis - 50,633
Pneumonia and flu - 55,672
Diabetes - 83,564
Alzheimer’s disease - 121,404
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases) - 146,383
Chronic lower respiratory diseases - 160,201
Accidents (unintentional injuries) - 169,936
Cancer - 599,108

And the winner is:

Heart disease - 647,457

Gun homicides 14,542.

Incidentally I decided to take another step, that’s .00225% of the number of deaths due to heart disease, the #1 cause of death in America in 2017. The lowest of those numbers, Nephritis, 50,633, is more than 3 times the number of firearm homicides.

Auto accidents - 40,231 Almost 3 times the number of gun homicides. (43,626 would be 3X)

Suicide by firearm - 23,854 A little under twice the number of homicides by firearm.

Drug induced deaths - 73,990, but it does not quantify overdose versus over prescription, wrong prescription, drug interactions etc.

Interesting that the number of firearm related homicides is far below the number of even suicides and well below the top 10, considering all the hype we hear from liberals intent on gun confiscation. Especially when you do a little math and boil it down to a percentage...

For those interested in looking the complete list over I’ll save you some looking,

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/leading-causes-of-death.htm

I think the PDF I downloaded is the one in the bottom section, Final Data for 2017. I have it open now for reference. Ummmm, well, just closed it a minute ago actually...

I apologize for not knowing in advance what effect my Tweet could have on you," he continued. "I am therefore thankful for the candor and depth of critical reactions shared in my Twitter feed. As an educator, I personally value knowing with precision and accuracy what reaction anything that I say (or write) will instill in my audience, and I got this one wrong."

(Astrophysicist) Neil deGrasse Tyson committed a hate crime. Deaths of 'people of color' are not to be confused with other deaths that don't involved 'hate'...

(Astrophysicist) Neil deGrasse Tyson's name has been turned over to the FBI for investigation. He will be fired from his job for this offense. His apology was NOT strong enough./s

Wait....what ?

500 deaths every 2 days due to medical errors ? Exactly what do they mean by errors ?
