Only very large agencies (think State) can afford to staff an intelligence unit full time...minimum of 8 officers to cover all shifts factoring court time and vacations.
At this hour of a Sunday most small to mid size agencies are swamped with "custody issue" calls because Dad didn't show up at exactly 5:00 PM per the joint custody agreement. Or vice versa.
So now they’re using mass shootings to go after the First and Second Amendments at the same time (and the Fourth, since the FBI wants to step up its power to monitor “potential” shooters on social media before they commit crimes).
Of course something will take its place but I would shut it down like a nuisance bar.
I would monitor it because they’re already there. Why scatter them to the wind?
So QAnon is in the same cross hairs in your mind, makes one wonder where you are really coming from.
I am on there regularly and the ONLY ones who promote violence are shills, basically like the Trolls that appear here to slide threads and disrupt thing as they are scared to death their little dream is going down...

I don’t like 8chan because it divides the political discourse between right and left. (/pol/ and /leftypol/
4chan allows them to fight in the same board. While it can be highly frustrating, it is more interesting and you DEFINITELY get to see what the other side is doing.
Words on 4 or 8chan do not have the power to make bad things happen.
Blame them and blame guns and our 2nd Amendment for shootings.

And don’t forget the general incompetence of agencies like the FBI. A relative begged the FBI to investigate the twerp who shot up the Florida high school months prior to the shooting. The FBI did nothing.
Same with the Boston Marathon bombing. The Russian federation warned the FBI specifically about the two brothers prior to the bombing. Again, nothing was done.
