I know...does smell a little nepotism-ish. But, on the other hand, they were his close, trusted advisors in business prior to the election, so it was understandable that he needed somebody he could rely on. Lord knows, none of his “new” crew...the political animals...were trustworthy.
Well, perhaps Kushner has done some things like helping to move the embassy in Israel (and now helping with the campaign) but for the most part I agree with you. And Ivanka appears to be not too swift in understanding the Washington lay of the land. You cannot make friends there.
I totally agree:he has provided his enemies with so many more “targets of opportunity”-—he’d have been better off with ALL them far far in the background.Of course every President needs loyalists around him, but so many family members getting face time as spokesmen, surrogates, and “apologists” makes it all look like the installation of a “Royal Family”
