I checked, Allen and Plano are 6.5 miles apart. In a metro area like that, everything is usually 6.5 miles plus for where one wants to drive.

Plano and Allen share a common border; just to make that clear to all. (They are adjacent.)

The traffic in the Plano area is horrific. 6.5 miles is 20-30 minutes during the day.

I go there on business and have to double my commute times from standard.
