I went into a Lowe’s the other day and there were no cashiers, only self-checkouts that didn’t take cash. I told a manager I was paying cash and she had to open a register for me. I asked why they didn’t hire more people and she said they are trying but people don’t want to start at $13 an hour and the ones that do, fail the drug test.
They could raise their starting pay or get rid of the drug testing and solve their hiring problem.
$13? They aren’t worth $8.
The one here doesn’t have self checkout (unless they have added it fairly recently). I usually go to Home Depot for that reason. The only aggravation there is that the self checkout wants a work order. I type in a random string of numbers and it completes the transaction.
Remember there is a new company that is hiring. Those items are not going to jump together.

FAIL THE DRUG TEST is going to be a big problem in this country within 2 years or less.
