Many media sites have sworn off using “he” or “she”. Those words are discriminatory and sexist, and might contribute to global warming. Sure, this leads to confusion. But it’s way more important to be politically correct.

Yet the point of language (vocabulary, grammar, syntax) is to communicate not obfuscate, to be as clear as possible not deliberately vague. Destroy language, destroy thought.

But I was mistaken. I didn't look close enough at the photo versus reading the posters lead sentence. It was confusing at first glance.
