Maybe you haven’t heard. The pronoun “he” has been banned from the English language as being a sexist word. So while I would say “The shooter as he entered Walmart...”, the PC thoght police demand that all journalists say “The shooter as they entered Walmart...”
We are no longer allowed to say “he, she” or “him, her”, only “they, them”

My wife and I are retired and live in the country on our cattle farm.
Life is slow out here and far-removed from the problems going on in the country that I read about in the media.
It is like stepping back in time to a simpler life.
Except for the high anxiety of raising our two year old granddaughter here on the farm, it is a pleasant place to live, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
