I don’t know what’s up with that link that you posted. I looked at it a few minutes ago, and it said Crusius was a registered Democrat. Now in just a few minutes, it has been changed to registered Republican.

I cut and pasted from the link before someone went in and changed info to Republican, Christian, etc.
