llinois Democrat State Senator Tom Cullerton on Friday was indicted on federal embezzlement charges for allegedly defrauding a union.

The US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois announced the charges on Friday.

Cullerton, a Democrat, was accused of taking approximately $275,000 in salary and benefits from the Teamsters Union, but doing no work for the union.

The state senator took the union job before he was elected in 2012 and continued to collect money for three years without doing any work, according to the 39-count indictment.

Well, hell... that’s nothing more than what happens with many Washington DC area federal employees.

Luv it when the corrupt rats fight each other.

“Cullerton’s lawyer, John Theis released a statement calling the allegations “false claims by disgraced Teamsters boss John Coli in an apparent attempt to avoid penalties for his wrongdoing.”

“Sounds like the union was unable to get this douche bag to make laws in their favor and now have buyers remorse.”

In the demoRAT political dictionary, “integrity” is defined as staying bought once somebody pays your price.

What happened, did they find out he wasn't in the Mob?

1. He was unaware that bribery was wrong. He was just getting paid.
2. When the facts come out, he will be exhumed of all charges

” he will be exhumed of all charges”

I think you mean “exonerated!” Although it would be a nice trick to exhume him (i.e. dig him up) to let him know he was a "free man!"

How do you like that. You can defraud the American taxpayer with impunity but you defraud a Union, you end up in jail. If you live long enough to get to jail.

Cullerton belongs to one of the oldest and most powerful Demon families in the country. There are not many years when at least one Cullerton is not up to his snout in the tax-payers’ pockets. And that does not even consider their pensions. I would wager that each one is a double or triple dipper.

I’m thinking we will see more of these indictments of major players.

indicted on federal embezzlement charges

Embezzled from the Teamster's Union so I would think the indictment may be the least of his worries.
