If there states want to charge their residents more to buy these cars, they should be encouraged to do so.

Libtards actually believe there is no such thing as "taxpayer money". It belongs to "the people" and, since they represent "the people", it belongs to them.

I kid you not. This is how their brain really works. This is why Stalin could kill 30 million Ukrainians, Hitler could kill 6 million Jews and Mao could kill 80 million Chinese in the name of "the people."

Libtards will huff and puff and resent this analogy because they haven't killed anywhere close to this many people. But it is only because they haven't been able to grab that much power.

The key here is this statement:”Congress in 2015 ordered federal agencies to adjust a wide range of civil penalties to account for inflation...”
If congress did this then Trump will lose in court.

Demonrats want to hurt American industry and American workers. Demonrats would kill us all off if they thought it would increase their power any.

A few months ago, I got a $1300 repair bill on said Focus clutches on a vehicle I’d just bought. I got them to pay it.

I had an early Fiesta with the dual-clutch tranny but traded it after 7 months. At low speed, the fuel would alternately shut of and turn on (to reduce emissions) which caused the car to jerk and lurch, something that auto transmissions with torque converters can, to a certain degree, absorb and smooth out. Later, I owned a Focus with 5 speed manual and it was a joy to drive plus it averaged 34.8 mpg.

They forget that Trump stopped taking “penalties” from those who didn’t buy into ObamaCare...seems like a similar deal...fines for upsetting the dems don’t have to be collected....

There are two normal ways of making higher”efficiency”. Cut curb weight and cut moving part weight. Safety is sacrificed in the first, so traffic speed must be compromised to keep death rates down. The second is reliability from lowering the weight of moving parts. Without a major technology change, those are the ways. A belief in Man Made Global Warming (tm) will not change anything. Although an argument about overstepping the Interstate Commerce Clause may have some purchase now.
