Representative Will Hurd announced Thursday that he will not seek re-election for his Congressional seat. He has represented the district stretching from San Antonio to El Paso since 2015.

In the 2018 election, he won a close, expensive race against Gina Ortiz-Jones. He is currently the only Republican representing a district that borders Mexico. He has 17 months remaining in his term.

On Twitter, he said he would pursue opportunities outside of Congress to solve problems involving technology and national security.

And the social democratic communists’ 2018 pattern repeats!

A large number of incumbent RINO GROPElites who often opposed Trump “retire”, and the democrats run ex-military liberals (or military-linked “consultants “ like the tv video producer who ran in Georgia in Gingrich’s old district ).

Trump is running against the Deep State, the ABCNNBCBS media, and his own party.

I'll not miss this self centered prick.

The pubbies need to field 80-90 good candidates for the House, and if Trump wins 'bigly', his coat tails will sweep enough in to regain the house.

Has nothing to do with the primary. His district is 70% Hispanic I believe. A solid conservative Republican has little chance in such a district. This one likely flips Dem in 2020.

Are there any Hispanic conservatives left in Texas? Why does this have to go to the rats?

Nothing like losing without a fight.

*** HATE tin foil ideas, but any chance deep state holding things on these people and telling them to step down? ***

Hurd is former CIA. He is my idea of Deep State.
