Robert F. Kennedy’s granddaughter reportedly died of an apparent drug overdose at the family’s Cape Cod compound on Thursday — the latest in a long line of tragedies to rock the storied family.
Saoirse Kennedy Hill, 22, was staying at the sprawling Hyannis Port, Mass., home of her grandmother, 91-year-old Ethel Kennedy, RFK’s widow.
By the time medics arrived to the Marchant Avenue mansion at about 2:30 p.m., the young Kennedy was already in cardiac arrest, the Hyannis News reported.
She was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The New York Times said the suspected cause was an overdose, but an investigation by Barnstable police is ongoing.
The death jolted a family long haunted by tragedy.

She didn’t kill Martha Moxley, just a relative of hers. It’s a wicked family, but she didn’t ask to be born into it. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was driven to it by their depravity. Although JFK was a tax-cutting cold warrior, and grampa Robert was a die-hard McCarthy-ite. But the shame of Uncle Teddy and William Kennedy Smith, and the guy who boinked his kids’ baby sitter then skiied into a tree probably weighed on her.

Very unfortunate that the rabbi’s curse was only 2/3 effective.
Nope, no Kennedy jokes here. It’s hard to believe since the Kennedy’s are so level headed and not pre-disposed to self indulgence.

Legend also had it that Teddy went to the Lubavitcher Rebbe to ask for relief from the curse. I guess the lack of a curse completed eroded his character, and he became the vile creature we all knew and loathed.
She was too old and addled to know what was going on in her own house. Not unusual or surprising.
This is not a joke: The entire family is a bunch of losers. Think about it: They have had every advantage that life can offer — white privilege, affirmative action, doting MSM — and yet they are one of the most dysfunctional families in the USA. LOSERS!

I have an aesthetic, platonic appreciation for pretty young women, and my own daughter has screwed her life up royally, though not as badly as this poor soul.

Knowing basically nothing about her I'm not inclined to do so.However:
Some years ago you may recall an incident involving rape and William Kennedy Smith. While commenting to reporters on the story his uncle,the senior Senator from Chappaquiddick,said something like "well,in a big Irish family like ours you're bound to have a few difficult situations". (Not an exact quote).
Well,my family is every bit as big as theirs.And my family is every bit as Irish as theirs (both my parents were born in Ireland).
However,not a *single* member of my large Irish family has ever been a heroin addict (or any kind of addict). Not a single member of my family has ever died of a heroin OD. Not a single member of my family has had a young woman die in his or her car. Not a single member of my family has ever been convicted of murder.Not a single member of my family has ever been accused of rape.Not a single member of my family has ever crippled a woman (or man) in car he/she was driving. And not a single member of my large Irish family has ever been accused of diddling a 13 year old babysitter.
I've lived here all my life.My guess is that I know more about the Kennedys than you do.Perhaps a lot more.This dead girl may not have been "depraved"....but if not she is certainly the *product* of depravity.

The Lincoln family melted into obscurity much faster. The Adamses stayed around a while longer. The Roosevelts, likewise. The Bushes, however, remain problematic. But the Kennedy curse was transferred from just Teddy to a general, all-encompassing malaise. I’m sure the Lubavitcher Rebbe regrets giving him relief.
The article is about the girl dying, not the history of the Kennedys. You should thank your lucky stars that no one has a drug problem or depression in your family.
