I remember an old joke about the Kennedy compound.
There was a sign at the entrance “Trespassers will be Violated.”
I have heard it pronounced “Shar Say”, but I think the Irish actress Saroise Ronan pronounces her name “Sir Shuh” (rhymes with “duh”).
Odd name.

My late dad who lived on Cape Cod said he was once asked by some people how to get to the Kennedy compound which wasn’t far away. “Follow me, I’ll lead you there.” When the people got there one (elderly, maybe blind) was led to the fence.My dad saw him put his hand on a fence for a moment, then turned and said to the others. “Okay, let’s go”...as if it were a holy place on
the old man’s “bucket list”.

LOL - I started looking at the article, just to see I was totally in another world.
But I did base my comment on the history of that ‘family’ - women who get involved with them do not have happy endings, and that goes back at least 100 years.

They don’t mention him in the obits.
My mom met John Jr., Merchandise Mart, Chris brought him by her showroom and he said hello (no handshake). It was not long before he died, we just watched his Biography or something on A&E.
I never met Chris myself but I attended a screening of Rory’s Hillbillby movie way back when, he was in the front row.
Funny story, when I was a kid I assumed my mom was boss of the entire Mart (and wondered why she only worked in the one showroom). When she was a kid she thought her uncle owned it,
she told her friends when they went there on a field trip (early 60’s)
Them: “You’re a Kennedy?!”.
She hates their guts and is a strong Republican but still rooted for Chris (despite having had personal issues with him) to win the rat Gov primary instead of Fat Boy.
It’s true. You’re more likely to survive a “date” with “Juice” than any interaction with a Kennedy.
