DETROIT Andrew Yang says its already too late to stop climate change, and that its time for Americans to head for the hills.
Yang, debating his fellow Democrats on Wednesday night in Detroit, had this to say when the subject of climate change was in full swing.
Yang a long-shot candidate is best known for his universal basic income proposal: he has put a $1,000-a-month payout at the forefront of his platform.
**SNIP**
Yang said the U.S. acts like it controls 100% of global emissions itself, and that, the truth is even if we were to curb our emissions dramatically, the Earth is still going to get warmer, and we can see it around us this summer."

Yang resides in Manhattan. Not very smart. When is the big move to Nebraska?
I thought the big earthquake would turn my Arizona desert property into beachfront. Now it will be global warming.
Sea levels began to rise 18k years ago at the end of the last glacial period. They have risen about 135 meters since then which is an average of 7.5 millimeters per year. That is an average of 750 mm per century (29.5 inches) which is far more than the average over the last century.
From 1880 to 2000 sea level rose about 20 cm or just under 8 inches. Far less than the nearly 30 inches per century average over the last 18,000 years.
The most recent data from NASA shows a decline in sea level.
Inconvenient: NASA shows global sea level pausing, instead of rising
Stevie Wonder beat him to it.
Woo-hoo! I’m getting some of that beach front property in Iowa. I can hardly wait.
And he knows this how?
And if it’s “too late” then can we please stop this insipid CO2 nonsense because nothing can be done?
Nah, nah, this idiot thinks money grows on trees.
The Maldives has a maximum elevation of 17 ft. Wake Island, Midway Island, and many others have similar elevation profiles. Yet we have not lost a single one of these islands. However in order to make things better I will buy up all beachfront property in FL and CA at the fair price of $100.00 per acre.
Wasn't it the Warmists who said "that's just weather, weather isn't climate?" I guess it's only "just weather" when it's record setting cold spells.
That’s a fine song.
The Canadian pole of inaccessibility is allegedly in Jackfish River, Alberta 59.03°N 112.82°W, a few kilometres up the Peace River from where the Jackfish River (one of six Canadian rivers of that name) flows through it.[22]"
“Andrew Yang says its already too late to stop climate change,”
YAAAAY!!
Funny he said this in Detroit. We’re wearing heavy jackets in the mornings and evenings just 5 hours north of his speech. Chomping at the bit for a day hotter than 80 degrees this year when we normally have a month of them in August....
What in the world does that mean? Is he just hammering home his belief that the U.S. is irredeemably evil? It is a total non sequitur.
Yang needs to move south to outrun the glaciers that will be heading his way.
I’ve got two blankets on the bed now. It was almost in the 40s a couple nights ago (North Idaho not far from Canada).
So do we. Disappointing how cold it has been this summer. I need 80 degrees to put my dogs into the lake for training and the lake water has not been as warm as it usually is, either. 45th parallel.
Ima gonna stick it out for awhile. I have a nice inner tube if needed.
