He should not have done this publicly but privately. As a veteran myself enlisted and officer ranks are there to do a job. If he wanted this done call the CO of the lawyers. Completely uncalled for to attempt humiliation for enlisted people.

Complete nonsense. Nothing but more Swamp BS, wanting nothing to be done in the sunshine so the American people can SEE and HEAR what’s going on in the shadows. Those lawyers should be disbarred and held up to public ridicule.

You do realize these were officers that were awarded the NAM, no?? They were JAG officers. A medal of this nature is not a valor medal... it is totally within the right of the commander in chief to right the ship when he sees his command being eroded. These lawyers were too used to leadership under the previous commander in chief who awarded our enemies higher status than our brave men and women who fight for our country. What the President did is send a message to the entire military. These officers were awarded the medals by someone in their command who was trying to give the finger to the commander in chief.

“He should not have done this publicly but privately.”

Nonsense! The Military Lawyers are a meaching, disgraceful lot! My father was a Lt. Commander in the Navy stationed in Australia during WWII in the Supply Corps. Admiral Halsey complained that his PT Boats were out of service for the lack of shaft seals. The problem was getting them from the States. So my father went out on the Australian economy to have them made locally. He was able to get nearly every aspect of the seals covered exception of equipment for “rolling the seal body over the cover.” So he had a draftsman change the parts to make it possible to thread the mating parts and secure them against coming apart by incorporating a tangent screw. Halsey gave him a commendation, because now not only were all his boats operational, they found that they could carry the “seal's innards” while they were out, and they could unscrew the cover after disconnecting the prop shaft from the engine, and simply change the “guts” and go on their way. (The Navy "design" required that the boat be pulled out of the water) At the end of the war a f*cking Navy Lawyer showed up in my Dad's office to inform him that he was “to be courtmartialed for tampering with Bureau of Ships design!” My Dad told the a$$hole that he had been away from his family for nearly five years, and he would immediately accompany him to Washington and “wave one of the seals in front of Congress.” Then he called the SPs and had them take the lawyer to the airport and make sure he was on a plane back to Washington! (he never heard anything further, but it just shows you how counterproductive these jerks are) So when it comes to lawyers, while 95% of them are worthless $hit, in the military, the percentage is likely higher! Thank God Trump isn't a lawyer! And show me one of the RATs running for the Presidency that isn't!

Lawyers are JAG OFFICERS, not enlisted.

Jarhead, you can’t be serious. But the President should have taken his anger out on the commanders that authorized the awards. At any rate, these medals are given out at unit award ceremonies so now after going through that dog and pony show, the lawyers are back without their participation awards.

I hope it humiliates them into depression states requiring medication. Bad Lawyers are causing way to many problems in this country, especially the prosecutors.

As a vet, I disagree, sometimes retards need to be called out. It’s good for overall morale to know someone up top actually cares.

Yesterday's 'private' is today's 'public'.

So President Trump makes a few calls, some butthurt NCO, staffer, officer, whatever, calls CNN or their favorite whore-nalist, and bam, all over the news, but with the tag "President Trump seeking to secretly undermine his own military."

Do it publicly, do it clearly and forcefully, do it so no one in the chain of command can misunderstand why it was done and then run to the media.

With this one act (among so many others), President Trump has sent a message to everyone, that perjury or judicial malfeasance or corruption of the process (whatever was done or not done by the lawyers in the military chain of command), will not be tolerated.

There will be those officers who harrumph and cluck their tongues, but they'll remember the lesson.

Being 100% unpopular or feared, by those not worthy of your respect or command, will not make you any more popular or friendly, to those whom are corrupt and deserving of exposure, censure, ridicule and termination, by either backpedaling after an "unpopular" action, or letting corruption go unexposed and unpunished.
