China is conducting an aggressive disinformation and influence campaign designed to block the re-election of President Trump in 2020, according to a dissident Chinese billionaire who until recently was close to senior Beijing leaders.
Guo Wengui, an exiled Chinese real estate tycoon-turned-anti-communist critic, said in an interview that details of the influence operation were disclosed recently by Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan in Beijing.
The campaign has been underway since the 2018 mid-term election and involves enlisting pro-China elements inside the United States to end the Trump administration after four years.
"China has been protesting western powers trying to interfere in the domestic politics of China but in fact China is not only trying interfere in the domestic politics of the United States, they are interfering publicly with U.S. elections," Guo told the Washington Free Beacon.
According to Guo, who has known current Chinese President Xi Jinping for more than 10 years, the anti-Trump influence operation is being directed by Xi and Wang through the Communist Party of China (CCP) National Security Commission, a high-level body created in 2013 that since then has tightened control over all other security organs.
"For the 2020 U.S. presidential election, the security committee has given very clear instructions that it is not permissible for Trump to win the 2020 election," Guo said speaking through an interpreter.
By deploying its intelligence and influence resources in the United States, the CCP is working to exploit the harsh political divisions between Democrats and Republicans in seeking to unseat the Trump administration.
"President Trump has already caused a lot of damage to the CCP, so they have declared he will not be allowed to have another four years in power," the dissident said.

None of this matters. MSNBC told me that Trump is an evil dictator in full control of the DOJ and “above the law” (sorry mr.segal) and precedent has already told us that it’s perfectly okay to set up counter-intelligence operations, install moles in enemy campaigns, and send in foreign agents to offer deals, as well as go spy on everyone based on endless FISA applications.
Imagine a sizable portion of Hillary's popular vote will not be "upset" with this foreign government involvement, with at least a two-digit percentage of that group willing to assist in some way.
Meanwhile, let's assume the dissident has relocated his family and assets - the CCP will nonetheless attempt to drive him crazy with daily credible threats to both and bankrupt him with security costs.
Not that some minds may be changed, but when is the last time someone besides yourself controlled your mind. Also Trump has them by the short hairs. Can they wait another 18 months economically on a maybe deal? If you and I read this does anyone here think DJT isn’t aware. This may be more wishful thinking from a never trumper. IMO

It does not make a lot of sense that China would bother to enlist people in the U.S. Their best strategy would be to continuously lie to President Trump in order to get him to boast about improved trade relations with China only to turn on him by making it plain that the “agreements” would not be honored. They could easily make him look like a bungler.
He seems to trust them too much.
To protect himself from this mischief, President Trump should carry out foreign negotiations closer to the chest and only gloat after the results are forthcoming.
He seems to leave himself open to being blindsided by his similar handling of North Korea.

Such a "campaign" against Trump would not be aimed at the vast majority of people who frequent a place such as FR.
As it's stated often, there are a lot of very ignorant people in this country.
If they manage to turn enough people OFF of Trump (e.g. he's a racist, his tariffs are causing your financial pain, etc. etc.), they don't necessarily need to get them to vote for a socialist. All they need to do is flood the messaging to get the majority of "independents" and "blue dog" democrats along with some bush league (R)'s to simply not vote for president.
Trump can not win in that scenario. There just aren't enough of "us" out there to counter that along with Google/Twitter/Facebook/Hollywood/Media's influence in addition to the invasion of 3rd world'ers who will get drivers licenses and be "registered" to vote.
True, only the weak of mind who are easily swayed by the varying winds of popularity and hero worship of that which is odd will vote the same way no matter what you do or say.
As to the Mediaocracy they have wounded themselves hopefully fatally as the promises made have not been kept. True believers will do whatever they do and as they are told. even all of the virtue signaling trying to paint Repubs as racists is falling on deaf ears as is the same ploy for Hispanics.
With the changes Trump has ordered for data sharing between departments as mandatory the picture of what is really going on will become abundantly clear on many fronts. Coming from that discipline I will tell you that this is critical to breaking down barriers like the Gorelick Wall that was constructed in the Clinton years preventing data sharing between Government agencies like FBI and others to hide the crimes of the Clintoons selling technology to Chine.
