Well, you can take that to its logical conclusion... don’t support prison sentences because you “have seen first hand the miscarriages of justice by the legal system”. Yeah, that;s the ticket!
I have seen someone sentenced to 60 years in prison on really thin evidence. But at least he is not dead, and there is a glimmer of hope later when the witness recants which probably will happen.
