I’ve been reading about the solar minimum for quite a while and have had this devious thought:
- could the climate change, carbon tax, green new dealers possibly be smart enough to try to get these things implemented before cooling starts so they can take credit for it?
Also - are they long term thinkers enough to say “it got too cold, now we need to act to warm the planet” and have some other freedom removing measures ready to go?

The bottom line is, we are still in the Quaternary. (No one has presented any real physical evidence to the contrary!) The Quaternary is a geologic age characterized by cyclic continental glacial ice sheets. The last glaciation ended roughly 22,000 years ago. Its coming back, its just a matter of when. There is nothing we can do about it other then do what man did the last time! Migrate to warmer climes!

Most of the midwest where our food is grown was flattened by glacial action. Climate change is a given, man has nothing to do with it.
I am encouraged by reporting that discusses the Solar Minimum. That's, like, actual science, man. It think it's very hard to argue that my SUV can cause a Solar Minimum. Or prevent a Solar Minimum. Because nothing mankind does actually affects solar output. If people understood that, this whole nonsense would go away.

Not really long-term thought but the way the scam works. Back in the 70s it was pollution and overcrowding, dontchaknow. So money was spent on recycling, air quality research, and crying injuns of Italian descent. When the world didn’t end in 1985, well, that was because of all the work and money put into preventing it!
Another decade, same con, lifted straight from fortune-tellers at county fairs.
Slightly off-topic: I listen to a lot of old-time radio out of New York. Stuff from the 70s and 80s is FULL of doom-and-gloom PSAs... none of which ever came close to coming true.
This is why I am a member of IAPI (Ice Age Prevention Initiative). I think today I will go shopping for a new gas powered leaf blower and then I will leave my car idling all night.
