Makes me laugh to think what Santino would think if he knew the media was calling him a white supremacist.
His name is Santino and his older brother is named Rosino but noone can say that part of his ethnicity might be Hispanic?
His maternal grandfather was Iranian making him Arab.

A former co-worker from Iran once told me that Iran is fragmented into about a dozen ethnic groups. Only three of them might be considered "Aryan", which is to say, direct descendants of the Indo-European peoples who swept across and conquered Persia and India several millennia ago.
Back in the day of the Shah, Iran and the US were allies. The American support forces based in Iran were thought to be the 10th largest ethnic group in the country.

Iran is Persia. They have more in common with neighbors to the north, east and west. They are not Arabs. They fight like badgers.
I know. I have several “Persian” friends and I have read a bit about it. The Persians I have met in the US never refer to themselves as Arabs or Iranians.
If you are in the Oceanside CA area there are a few Persian businesses including a small imported food store at Emerald Dr and Hwy 78 in nearby Vista. And good persian restaurants in places like Huntington beach and downton whittier.

I have known too many Iranians to make that mistake. They don't consider themselves Arabs and would be insulted by the attribution.
They do have a number of other ethnic associations, and each group considers themselves superior to all the others. One must tread carefully through that maze.
