New York, Detroit, and Cleveland are also among the 10 worst-run cities, according to WalletHub. Three other Democratic strongholds Oakland, Flint, Hartford make WalletHubs worst-run list.
Yet, whenever the desperate conditions of these cities gets discussed, theyre treated either as if these problems simply fell out of the sky, that somehow Republicans are to blame, or that all they need is more money. The connection to liberal policies never gets made.
So, rather than focus on Baltimore and Cummings, Trump would do well to point out that its decades of Democratic rule that have destroyed some of the countrys finest cities. Taxes and regulations make them inhospitable to business. Government control and union cronyism encourage waste and corruption. Soft-on-crime attitudes lead to more crime, drug abuse, and rampant homelessness.
You see the same thing at the state level. Of the 10 worst-run states in the country, all but one is solidly Democratic. And of the best-run states, only one is Democratic, according to a ranking by the Mercatus Center.
This has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with the sorts of policies the left has implemented, policies that history shows over and over again do not work.
This is the message the public needs to hear. And its one Trump is uniquely qualified to get across.

Oh, the President will get there. He us just warming up.
Pointing out Democratic policies requires more attention than pointing the finger at Cummings. Racism charges follow and Trump is smart enough to let the chips fall where they may when he switches to Pelosi. Clever as a fox.
The writer is missing what Trump’s doing. BY specifically naming Cummings and Baltimore, Trump is employing Alinsky’s Rule #13, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
Brilliant. Make the Dems defend the indefensible.
baltimore and many other US cities are that way for a reason.
The left concentrates non-producers in one place. It tells them they are poor because Whitey (Republicans) hates them and keeps them down, and if they would only vote dem and contribute dems will save them from Whitey.
So the non-producers vote dem and give money, and the next year the city is still poor and a $hithole.
These cities are run by dems, with a high percentage being non-White. They are incompetent, and go through the motions of governing, but are actually in office for personal gain.
Because the producers have gotten the hell out, the cities have no money, and have to beg the state to bail them out, which it does, effectively taxing the producers for the failures of the cities. The producers don’t realize that because it is hidden in their state taxes.
This is not likely to change any time soon.
Nope. What do think that shooting in Gilroy Garlic Festival was all about?
It was to distract from the catastrophe that is Baltimore and its representatives and elected officials, at least in part.

I disagree with this statement. It has a great deal to do with race, the author simply does not wish to poke that bear. By ignoring the issue of race and the problems that have become prevalent in certain "communities", they allow anti-social behaviour to continue unabated and it becomes like a pestilence, spreading from location to location.
-——Trump would do well to point out that its decades of Democratic rule that have destroyed some of the countrys finest cities-——
If you closely examine what the president does and how he does it, you will observe he uses the favorite Democrat tactic of incrementalism. By taking on Cummings who is very old Democrat and very politically black , Trump has opened a can of Baltimore worms that can’t be closed. That explosion is the first, the opening increment.
All the other cities and an endless list of serious faults and troubles is now in play. He is already engaaged in just what you desire
Sheesh!
What the GOP should be doing (using youthful Black & Latino spokesmen/women) every day is ATTACKING the so-called “Progressive” DIMocRATS for failing to do anything to fix the central cities & air those commercials on BET, “urban radio” & the Latino TV/radio networks.
Yours, TMN78247
So its an attack to point out obvious truths now? Wow!
keep posting this BBC piece:
at 1:22 resident of Baltimore says the houses are rat infested, regardless of what you do as a person living there, roaches, mice, an epidemic of bed bugs.
The neighborhoods have fallen apart. not because the people are bad people

Excellent summation of the situation.
Even worse- Baltimore & Detroit major league teams are the 2 bottom teams, coincidence? :-)
I will argue that that process has begun.
The President is leading by example. It is now politically correct, poltically permissable, to talk about the fact the emperor has no clothes.
The O’s average just over 17,000/game. Three off of the bottom. How times have changed.....Ghost of Earl Weaver
How much tax payer money is funneled into the abyss known as Bagtown?
Flint is an example worth pondering.
Basically destroyed by decade upon decade of Democrat rule.
However, one misstep involving the water system, and the Republicans suddenly OWN that one.
Shows that the power of the lamestream media has not yet dissipated nearly enough.
They threw a fit about the water crisis until they got funding. Gave the money to cronies who totally botched the repairs (replaced good pipe instead of the pipe that needed to be replaced.) Complaining again about needing funding to repair the water crisis while the mayor lays off firefighters and vacations in Hawaii on the taxpayer dime.
