Always remember that the difference between a Jesuit and a Protestant is that the Protestant admits that they are not Catholic.
Helping those in need is NOT "Communism".
Providing disincentives that undermine individual responsibility is NOT "Catholic".
Not new, surprising, or interesting news, but the first time Ive actually seen it in print.
The goal of communism is to create a worldly paradise. Such a thing can never exist until God makes the world part of his kingdom first. Until then, Satan is the god of this world, as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:4. But the real goal of communism is to replace God with the state, so that moral authority is no longer in God’s hands. The 10 Commandments also says “thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods”, which is the very essence of socialism and communism. Or can we just overlook God’s commandments in this case?
Amen x 100
There is NO case.
Communism by definition is atheistic.
Forced giving has no virtue attached to it.
Giving up your self determination is stupid.
Centralizing all power is FECKING stupid abd un American
Go away assholes.
A Jesuit who favors communism? Reminds me of the current Jesuit Pope.
Why do Jesuits love mass-murder of citizens by Communist governments?

I’ve heard other things about the Jesuits: that they are a bastion for gays and now this about communism. The thing that disturbs me the most is that many Catholic authorities see world economics as a zero sum pie, not and an expanding pie. It’s an old view probably dating back to St. Thomas Aquinas. San Francisco has a big Jesuit community and attacks many of them from around the country. It’s not surprising that communism is in vogue: everything the devil vouches for becomes in vogue with certain Catholics.
???
I assume you are not talking to me.
Dont try to tag protestants with the blasphemous beliefs of the Jesuits. They are yours not ours.
The Jesuits have always been nominally Catholic, but the Catholic Church has always been clear on its condemnation of communism.
The Church takes the position that a culture and economy are not simply a struggle for primacy between labor and capital, but rather that the Church needs to be a third seat at the table to advocate for justice, family, and the inherent human rights that come with being created in the image of God. Unfortunately, like all institutions made up of flawed humans, the Church and clergy have not always acted accordingly.
It costs 6 bucks to visit Karl Marx’s grave.
A visit to Adam Smith’s is free.
Grifters gonna grift.
The “Catholic case for communism” is the same as the “Catholic case for violating ‘Thou shalt not steal’ and ‘Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods.’ “ ... i.e. ... “None”.
But I'd wager that He didn't mean what goes on (and has gone on) in North Korea,Venezuela, etc.
