Yep. Appointed to replace that black criminal skank who got run out of office last year. Say what you will about him, William Donald Schaefer got it cleaned up and revitalized the downtown area. He was a WW II vet, retired from the Army Reserve as a full colonel after thirty-odd years, and didn’t take guff from anyone. Wiki him and look at his list of ‘controversies’. He was an old school Dem who definitely had a little Archie Bunker in him. They’d run him out of town on a rail for being a racist, homophobic, and a #MeToo predator for some of his positions as late as 15 years ago. LOL

Willie Don was also a pedophile. This was as well known by Baltimore insiders including more than a few members of the electronic and pencil press. Of course it was and is still covered up years after his death. Another nugget of common knowledge is that another Baltimore dem icon, Barbara Mikulski, has been a homosexual for decades. She is still alive but I bet the embargo on that will go on years after she is dead.
