Elizabeth Warren was widely rumored to be a top candidate to be Hillary Clinton’s running mate in 2016. But would the Massachusetts senator have accepted the position, it it was offered?
“Yes,” Warren told writer Joshua Green in a Bloomberg Businessweek cover story published Thursday.
Of course, that offer never came; the Clinton campaign ultimately chose Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine as a supposedly safer choice as the Democratic vice presidential nominee, compared to Warren’s unapologetic brand of progressive populism. But it apparently wasn’t a clear-cut decision.
Green reports that Warren “underwent a full vetting” by the Clinton campaign and was even “smuggled” into Clinton’s home in Washington, D.C., for an interview.

That wouldn’t have worked. Warren is an honorable woman, an attorney from Yale University, and her heritage would not permit her to speak with a forked tongue. She would have no other choice but to expose the Russian hoax when she discovered it. //sarc off//

Hillary needed someone to carry virginia...... that’s the only consideration she made
Warren is clearly trying to take Bernie’s base, I don’t see how her populist economics platform is going to be bolstered by saying she would have been Hillary’s VP. The problem with Bernie is he doesn’t even support the same positions he did in 2016.

Were they really that afraid of media speculation of who Hillary would finger as her running mate?? The Clintons are that paranoid of that sort of thing?
