This will be a weekly post.
Count is now 131 judges confirmed.
86 District Court judges
43 Circuit Court judges
2 Supreme Court justices
Next week will be a big week as McConnell has teed up 19 district judges for confirmation before they go on recess.
This will bring the count to an even 150.
Names?
There are 10 more nominees max now for district judges with nominees in flyover states where the blue slip goes for us. Seems those will wait for the fall.
Need the big push for vetting nominees both appeals and district. Appeals vetting needs some time so the 10 district judges can be confirmed in Sept.
Find a new 5th ckt nominee as well.
There are two spots in the 2nd Circuit waiting for nominees and one in the 9th plus two more judges in the 9th that have announced a move to senior status, Carlos Bea & Jay Bybee, both Busch appointees.
Damn! 19 next week!
Great news.
Mitch McConnell is becoming one of my heroes...

There are so many vacancies without nominees. Is the huge Russia hoax diverting staffers time to do the vetting. Even with Federalist Society doing most of the work.
Thanks bakken...
It is frustrating but there are 12 nominees that have been on the list since January, 4 since February and 10 since March. The nominees have to wait for an inordinate amount of time. Perhaps there are others that are chosen & waiting but not yet on the list. As the list of nominees shrinks with confirmations new ones are added, 16 were added in May and 7 in June.
