On Thursday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA) stated that while she supports an impeachment inquiry against President Trump, “if we don’t take action come September 1st, then we should just shut it down.”
Speier said, “[W]e should be required at this point in time to take action. Now, if we don’t take action come September 1st, then we should just shut it down. Because we’re not going to be able to do anything at all. I feel strongly that we should, but I think we’re running out of time.”

They really need to give it up in terms of impeachment.

I will ask this question everytime I hear this crap, just what are the grounds for impeachment again? Winning an election is not a crime.
If they believe ‘peach fowty fah’ will hurt them at the polls.

And by coincidence, the DOJ IG report is now scheduled for release after Labor Day, Sept 2nd.

If winning an election is grounds for impeachment, then every president from this point forward needs to be impeached.

They’ll claim “ten counts of obstruction”. They seem to have given up on “Trump/Russia”, apart from a few that STILL cling to the claim. They’ve been emotionally invested in this for years. It’s a great example of the “mob group think”. They can’t understand why impeachment hasn’t begun.
I seriously believe this is a case study of how mental illness emerges. They just don’t understand how the media has been manipulating them. They’re quoting the “Mueller didn’t indict only because he’s a sitting POTUS”, seemingly unaware that Mueller walked back those statements saying he found “no crime” and was “unhindered” in the investigation, nobody stopped him from doing anything.
The media is still being selective in their reporting so the mob continues to believe...
Grounds for impeachment???
From what I hear, there are various issues, such as,
Russia, Stormy Daniels, somehow he’s considered best buds with Putin, he said something awkward at a press conference with Putin, he violated the “emoluments” clause of the constitution, he didn’t condemn actions in Charlottesville strongly enough to suit George Stephanopolous and Chris Mathews, he won’t release his income tax returns, thus he must be hiding something illegal, he goes on Twitter too much, etc. etc.
Makes no sense. The whole impeachment thing was about diminishing Trump’s ability to win re-election since they know they can’t remove him from office. They will keep doing that until they realize it’s doing them more harm than good, and Jackie Speier isn’t that smart.

Bingo. The House goes on recess after today until September 9. The Senate goes on recess Aug 3 until September 9. Exactly when will impeachment proceedings begin given Speier’s Sept 1 deadline? More huffing and puffing.
