Americans must accept more of the worlds refugees into their job markets and neighborhoods, says a Washington Post op-ed by Walter Mondale, the Democrat presidential candidate who lost 49 of 50 states to President Ronald Reagan in November 1984. There is hope, Mondale says in his op-ed, continuing:
While most Americans do not have the privileges my office afforded me in 1979, nor the platforms upon which to speak out, there are steps everyone can take to make a real, tangible impact. Contact your representatives in Washington. Make the case for an increase in refugee admissions. Speak up against this administrations tactics of cruelty and inhumane treatment of asylum seekers at our border. And, of course, change can be made with a vote when the time comes. When enough voices are raised, change can happen.

Mondale, the one who reduced the filibuster vote from 67 to 60.
I was a Reagan volunteer in 1983-84. Was at the Republican National Convention in Dallas in 84. Reagan was up against Mondale and Farraro. Best bumper sticker ever...Vote Wally and the Beaver 84. I still have it.
Who!
Mr. irrelevant!
Reagan was ready in the next debate adroitly deflecting the age issue by quipping,
"I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent's youth and inexperience."
Mondale's campaign manager, Bob Beckel, dropped his teeth.....said that's when he knew Mondale would lose.
Mondale was defeated in a Reagan landslide, winning only the District of Columbia and his home state of Minnesota, and even there his margin of victory was fewer than 3,800 votes,[33] securing only 13 electoral votes to Reagan's 525.
The result was the worst electoral college defeat for any Democratic Party candidate in history, and the worst for any major-party candidate since Alf Landon's loss to Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1936. (h/t WIKI)
Typical liberal. “With my guilt and your gelt, we can do anything!”
Still alive, what a surprise!
Oh please, Dear God, Let this man go on the campaign trail with whichever lunatic emerges from the Dem Clown Car from Hell as their nominee.
Thanks,

"Did you hear they caught both of those guys?"
I was still sleepy from an evening of celebratory love making. Our first child was born just a little over nine months later. So I asked "Both what guys?"
"Both of those guys who voted for Mondale," replied Dad.
Dad is gone now, but one of my fondest memories ever
Hang on...let me think. Was Mondull the one who got 10 Electoral Votes?
No... 13 electoral votes. You forgot DC. George Wallace got more than that in 68.
Those were the days
After I posted I looked it up....the one,and only, state that Mondull carried was his home state,Minnesota.
He carried it by about 3,000 votes.
By the end of my first term, I will reduce the Reagan budget deficit by two thirds. Lets tell the truth. It must be done; it must be done. Mr. Reagan will raise taxes, and so will I. He will not tell you. I just did.Funny how he insisted on telling the truth and he lied here, both about what Reagan did and was going to do and the effect that higher taxes have on the deficit.
Democrats are dangerous to your health.
DC is not a state, but it does have electoral votes. Mondale received 13 electoral votes.
Freeloading illegal aliens = “refugees”. ROTFL.
