The Dem Presidential Field is still over 20. They need to narrow down that number, while never giving ammunition to Trump to use against the eventual winner. They cannot narrow the field based on the issues, because all of them have the same exact positions on the Top Ten election issues. They cannot narrow the field based on debates and ads, because the DNC is not allowing them to throw dirt on each other. They can only narrow the field by orchestrating stories like these for those who are near the top, but aren't the one polling as favorably at the moment.

The lower dozen should weed themselves out, just as soon as they are done collecting campaign cash that they will never use, and will collect when they drop out. Stories like these will not come out against them, because they need to go back and hold offices around the country.
