I think the biggest way they “get it done” is accepting lobbyist money. The DONORS (who own Republican candidates).
Rat Romney is the most visible.
When senators were elected by state politicians they didn't have to answer to the rabble.(you and me)so they could be more open about their agendas.
The Constitution got amended and the present day senators are elected directly by the rabble, and have become adept at disguising their intentions to please their monetary donors. -Tom
