Involuntary servitude...seriously?

How about it’s the price paid for freedom?

Do you think all the freedom we have in this country didn’t and doesn’t still come at a cost?

In 1961 JFK said in a speech, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask instead what you can do for your country”

I actually heard that speech live. You seem to have gotten the whole thing exactly backwards and sound like one of those shitheads who are happy to have and enjoy all the benefits of America and think somehow you are entitled to it all......just like a f’n liberal.

Of course it came at a cost and I have the deepest respect for those who have defended it, however if a nation’s population is not sufficiently motivated to join to defend it then there might be a problem with what we are fighting for, therefore I believe conscription is akin to slavery

If the US had not drafted men and fought WW1 then ww2 might have never happened, the USSR might have never existed, etc.

And as an FYI I’m well past the age limit to join the military but if the cause was just and the need existed I would find a way before supporting a draft

And to add...I’ve paid enough income taxes over the years to pay for far a lot of training, equipment, and manpower
