Since entering the presidential race, former Vice President Joe Biden has faced repeated questions about past statements he’s made criticizing school busing, fondly remembering racist white senators, and helping pass draconian laws in the ill-conceived drug war.
On Thursday, another decades-old quote of Biden’s surfaced courtesy of the Trump campaign’s opposition research team. A September 20, 1987, story in the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Biden had bragged about receiving an award from George Wallace, the former Alabama governor and one of America’s most notorious segregationists.
The same story went to quote a presidential primary campaign speech Biden had given in Alabama in which he said “we (Delawareans) were on the South’s side in the Civil War.”

Coincidentally, I have been reading John Keegan’s book about the Civil War, and there was a strong secessionist sentiment in Delaware. Of course you can’t actually say real history out loud like this in the modern world.

Uncle Joe got it partly right. Delaware was one of several slave owning states that fought on the side of the Union. We had slaves in the state for several years after the war as our legislature tried to get the Feds to cough up money to buy out slaves. We had a slave house here on the farm [which was established in 1850] and there were rooms in the main house that we are sure were used by house slaves in that era.
We also had a prison camp for southerners at Fort Delaware which is an island in the middle of the Delaware River up by New Castle. It wasn’t as bad as Andersonville run by the Confederates, but a lot of rebels died there.
Of course, the Emancipation Proclamation didn’t effect Delaware slaves since we were in the union and it didn’t apply to us.
And Delaware has a little stooge like senator named “Coon”. How racist is that?
I’m so PC sensitive that I changed the name of my Maine Coon cat to a Jewish one, “Main Cohen Katz” just to be safe.

He didn’t do a damn thing for Delaware. He abandoned the State and chose to launch his campaign in Pennsylvania. They can have him.
Oh for sure he's baiting #Karamela to hurt Biden up to March 4, 2020. I think the Left will be so hurtass when Biden wraps this up early 2020 that Biden as the Dem nominee will face a far-Left independent like Tom Steyer, or whoever Steyer can get as a stand-in.
Then imagine if Jill Stein doesn't run on the Green Party slate, and they get AOC.
Turns out Joe-Six pack is the son of a wealthy (upper-middle class) new car dealer.
And his smear of the truck driver “He drank his lunch” was really out of bounds. Police report said no alcohol was involved. Did Joe ever apologize?
