No talk of Trump hands.
From early in the GOP Primary I thought that no GOPer could win except for Trump. The GOP Smart People on TV insisted the opposite - any of them EXCEPT Trump would win.
I had no idea how we could come to two totally different conclusions. As the campaign continued, they dug their heels in. It even spread to people I personally knew and respected. I was convinced they were completely wrong.
Looking back, I can’t see how any sober person could rationally believe that Jeb, Rubio, or Cruz would win.
I’ve come to the conclusion that they were either not sober and clear-minded, or didn’t want an unconventional Republican to win. A conventional loss beats an unconventional victory.
GOP Inc Must Be Destroyed.
Dems haven’t thought they needed the white working class vote from 2000....
2000 was the warning sign, when they lost WV... that’s what cost Gore, not FL... but they decided to turn a blind eye, to the harbinger of things to come.
Obama being Black, and anger at Bush hid the fundamental problems the D party was facing.. and the GOP refusing (because their money men wanted cheap labor and cheap foreign goods) to take up immigration and trade, gave the D’s a reprieve....
Dems have no path to victory, they have alienated a large section of what was their largest voting bloc.... You can’t blame whitey for every grievance you can come up with for your identity politics coalition building before they finally say, eff you..
The D’s that Trump got, had already given up on D’s... they’ll never vote D again in their lives.... however, that doesn’t mean they will simply pull the R lever either... if the GOP doesn’t learn from Trump and put AMERICA FIRST ALWAYS... they will go back to NOT voting at all.
I was of the latter - concerned about Trump, and liked the more Constitutionally-minded Cruz. It was a matter of my Constitutional mindset at the time, that Trump was not talking about it while Cruz was, and not thinking too much about winnability, other than Cruz could win. Back then, I knew Rubio/Tippy-toes would lose. But now, in hindsight, I know Cruz would have lost as well... only Trump would have won. And glad he turned out so fantastic on so many fronts.
Fact: POTUS, Donald J. Trump will be re-elected by a massive majority landslide of the American people and certified voters.
Why & How you ask? First there is no leadership whatsoever in the Democrat Party from top to bottom. The DNC Leader Perez is useless and non functioning effectively, Speaker of the House Pelosi is a lost cause, does not have one leadership bone or quality in her body....Minority Senate Leader, Democrat Chuck Schumer is a “weak, useless, sister” from the top of his forehead to the bottom of his feet. The “Four Lady America Haters Squad” rules the party...period....thanks to the weakness and lack of leadership and control from, Speaker, Nancy Pelosi.
But...the biggest fact of failure for the Democrat Party is that it does not have one qualified, person capable running for POTUS...all twenty of the announced candidates simply...”STINK” period.
And then, of course is the the tons of money needed to run a successful, winning political campaign. Trump will have cash by the billions-—period!!! Actually Trump could win 40-45 states easily!!!
There’s more folks....The Media that has nary a clue...period and does its utmost best to be a productive, lie telling, functioning arm and branch of the Democrat Part....big mistake...period. Millions of Deplorable American voters hate the word...”MEDIA”!!! You get it, don’t ya? Go, Trumpie, Go MAGA, Go America!!!

When I saw how the crowd at the Trump was going crazy...in a good way, I was shocked. I had never seen a politician have such a cult-like following. That, and Trump was on TV, so I knew he was a lock!
I understand. Yes, none of the rest of the GOP field would have won in 2016. Cruz would have been squashed like a bug.
While I agreed with him generally, I never had any doubt that he would have lost in a lopsided election. I think he would have done worse than Romney, in fact.
Trump definitely connected with the voters in a way no GOPer could.
I infuriated many traditional GOPer Facebook friends when I’d sign off with “Trump is the only rational choice in 2016.”
If his margin of victory is going to increase, I’d say it is a unifying, rather than polarizing, campaign.
Initially, I was a Cruz supporter based on his image of being a Constitutionalist.
But when Trump came down the escalator and began speaking about the border and the invasion of illegal aliens, I knew at that moment he was “my guy” and had THE best chance of defeating the Clinton machine.
As time went by, Cruz exposed himself as a phony and a treasonous supporter of Open Borders. His despicable actions at Trump’s acceptance of GOP nomination has forever blackened his image for me.
Trump will win 2020 IF and only IF he can minimize the massive vote fraud coming.
I’m not hopeful the vote fraud can be controlled to make it a fair election.
EC could grow in 2020 if something can be done to preclude the Big City Democrat machines in almost every state from simply adding enough votes to the vote count to overwhelm any Republican statewide majority. They did it in selected cities in 2016 and 18 on trial runs and found there was NO PENALTY, no blowback, not even harsh words. Republicans and conservatives simply accept whatever number they come up with and say, “Oh, well.” It failed only in Florida where it was attempted by incompetents.

So President Trump’s actual approval rating is about 54-55%.

No one on the left is ever “polarizing” - not AOC, not Ilhan Omar, not Tlaib, not Buttigieg, not Stephen Colbert, nor any of our foul-mouthed anti-Trump celebrities. Only conservatives are “polarizing.”
