“The Hill media bias rating is Center.
AllSides rates The Hills coverage of Washington news as center biased.
This rating is consistent with the websites aim of offering non-partisan and objective coverage of the capitol.
Out of more than 300 community members, a slim majority agreed with our center AllSides Bias Rating.
Among 11 of those who disagreed, The Hill received an average bias rating of 40.9,
barely inside the boundary between a center and a lean right bias.”
My own opinion is that they are somewhat left of center.
They are a leftwing rag.

About yesterdays Michael Jackson memorial service:
The days worst offender wasnt even there in person. Queen Latifah read a poem by Maya Angelou, written specifically for the occasion, and it was embarrassingfull of juvenile truisms and overused devices.
Full text, courtesy of MTV:
Beloveds, now we know that we know nothing, now that our bright and shining star can slip away from our fingertips like a puff of summer wind.
Without notice, our dear love can escape our doting embrace. Sing our songs among the stars and walk our dances across the face of the moon.
In the instant that Michael is gone, we know nothing. No clocks can tell time. No oceans can rush our tides with the abrupt absence of our treasure.
Though we are many, each of us is achingly alone, piercingly alone.
Only when we confess our confusion can we remember that he was a gift to us and we did have him.
He came to us from the creator, trailing creativity in abundance.
Despite the anguish, his life was sheathed in mother love, family love, and survived and did more than that.
He thrived with passion and compassion, humor and style. We had him whether we know who he was or did not know, he was ours and we were his.
We had him, beautiful, delighting our eyes.
His hat, aslant over his brow, and took a pose on his toes for all of us.
And we laughed and stomped our feet for him.
We were enchanted with his passion because he held nothing. He gave us all he had been given.
Today in Tokyo, beneath the Eiffel Tower, in Ghanas Black Star Square.
In Johannesburg and Pittsburgh, in Birmingham, Alabama, and Birmingham, England
We are missing Michael.
But we do know we had him, and we are the world.

Oh God! Three words come to mind after reading Maya’s mussings: Trite, Tedious & Saccharine.
Sort of a paint by numbers for free association prose.

Beyoncés New Feminist Fragrance Was Inspired by Her Favorite Maya Angelou Poem

Its only been a week since we got her surprise Christmas gift, but Beyoncé will soon give us more. Shes releasing a third fragrance, called Rise, WWD reports. The best part, of course, is that it was apparently inspired by her favorite Maya Angelou poem (presumably, Still I Rise).
Theres a strong sense of overcoming adversity and rising above it all, Marsha Brooks, vice president of global marketing for Coty (the license holder for Beyoncés fragrance business) told WWD of the scent. The fragrance concept is a about female empowerment [sic] and finding the inner strength that makes women so beautiful. If her sample of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichies TedX talk We Should All Be Feminists in the song ***Flawless wasnt enough, consider this a pleasantly scented, olfactory shutdown of critics questioning her feminist motives.
So what does feminism smell like? The fragrances main note is gold symphony orchid, known as the queen of orchids of course complemented by notes of golden apricot, jasmine, freesia, Italian bergamot, and something called an iced basil sorbet. (Which must be vegan?) Then, there are more masculine notes, such as autumn woods, cashmere (again, of course!), musk, and vetiver extract. Feminism is often associated with tired tropes, but Beyoncés vision of sassy hair-flipping, Maya Angelou-reading perfume sounds (and will surely smell) pretty good.
Give me a break! Another example of B.S. Jambalaya, but w/o the filet gumbo. She, Beyonce is an “Oprah” like symbol for her generation of women. But she communicates through her songs and videos. The real Beyonce is a fine entertainer, but not that bright. Have you ever heard her speak during an interview? Sort of like a trained race horse or an Empty Vessel.
