There’s no doubt in my mind that Trump’s tweet was a calculated move, precipitated by the media reports the previous day of the internal Democrat polls showing Ilhan Omar with a 9% — yes, NINE PERCENT — among swing voters.

What Shapiro apparently doesn’t realize is that Trump posted a sentiment that 95% of Americans have felt at some time or another in their lives. What’s the downside of tweeting something that reinforces that?

Exactly. What Shapiro misses is that even if it is not acceptable "in polite company" to say certain things, that doesn't mean a whole lot of people aren't thinking it. And Trump taps into that.
