In the Peoples’ Republic of Pennsyltucky teachers are only allowed to opt out of the PSEA (NEA affiliate) for a very brief window (10-15 days) at the ratification of new contracts, typically no sooner than ever third year but sometimes as long as four or five years.

Seems to be in defiance of the SCOTUS and Janus.

When the noble NEA of the early years allowed itself to become a political union, those "rights" of individuals became compromised and disappeared.

We might remember, there was a time when the NEA, before its union days, actually published a book which might help us today, as seen here
