WASHINGTON — With a disgust commensurate with the fact, Michael Bennet, the Colorado Democrat, says that during 40% of his 10 Senate years the government has been run on “continuing resolutions.” Congress passes these in order to spare itself the torture of performing its primary function, which is to set national priorities. Bennet is too serious a person to be content in today’s Senate, and if Democrats are as serious as they say they are about defeating Donald Trump, Bennet should be their nominee.

The picture is of George Will. Michael Bennett is just not Presidential in appearance. He sort of looks more like a pharmacist who is on the steering committee at the Pharmaceutical Convention. As far as Democrats go, he is not the worst. He is however a Democrat and as such is on the wrong side of the truth.
Never assume George Will is thinking in a 3-D chess manner.

So I love the way Will builds his argument for Bennet. He’s too serious for the Senate (his voting record belies that). He’s from Yale, his parents were Harvard and Mayflower (is this considered a positive by anyone outside of the elite?). He supports all the same garbage the other Dem candidates do but has kept quiet about it. He decries the rise of the “surveillance state”. Wasn’t that an Obama creation? And in the end he’s just plain better than all you losers out there in MAGA hats.
