The leaked cables and briefing notes led to Sir Kim’s resignation last week after President Trump hit back furiously at Sir Kim's comments, branding the ambassador a 'very stupid guy'.

He said on Twitter: 'The wacky Ambassador that the U.K. foisted upon the United States is not someone we are thrilled with, a very stupid guy.

'He should speak to his country, and Prime Minister May, about their failed Brexit negotiation, and not be upset with my criticism of how badly it was handled.

'I told how to do that deal, but she went her own foolish way-was unable to get it done.

'A disaster!

'I don't know the Ambassador but have been told he is a pompous fool.

'Tell him the USA now has the best economy and military anywhere in the world, by far.'

This is too delish. Is Epstein meant to be a distraction from this?

Also claimed he paid prostitutes to urinate on him in a Moscow hotel room

First I heard this. I though Trump was supposed to have paid prostitutes to pee on the bed that Bronco Bama slept in.

From July 8:

A wink and a nod from this ambassador to a high level striped pants operative in Foggy Bottom might well grease the way for Brennan to enlist British intelligence, knowing the boomerang effect of what he has generated will ultimately penetrate the FBI via the State Department. A conscious conspiracy? Perhaps on the part of one but not necessarily the other. Perhaps our ambassador is only returning a serve as any gentleman would or perhaps he is in on the plot. Perhaps he only certifies to London what he reads in the newspapers and hears over cocktails because he is conditioned to believe it anyway. His role on behalf of his government in London is to discern a coup attempt not to be duped and certainly not to facilitate it.

Obviously Darroch has very poor judgement. His next post should be Mongolia.

After reading the article, my first thought was that I wished John McCain was still alive so he could get his comeuppance too. It would be worth it, just to see his fat daughter crying on TV, trying to defend him.

I doubt the guy personally knew anything, as far as facts, regarding the Steele dossier, but out of his preexisting animus toward Trump, he “vouched” for Steele’s work, without knowing the veracity of it at all. Then the U.K. was stupid enough to make the guy Ambassador to the U.S.

If anything is disturbing the U.S.-U.K. special relationship, it has, for at least three years, been the U.K. government, and its political collusion with a U.S. political agenda against Trump.

In the latest tranche of leaked cables, Sir Kim wrote in a memo to Downing Street that Donald Trump's decision to abandon the Iran nuclear deal was an act of 'diplomatic vandalism' to spite his predecessor Barack Obama.

The more of this guy's "analysis" I read, the less I think he's worth as a diplomat. Of all of the things an ambassador should be aware, surely a diplomatic agreement of this magnitude involving his own country as well ought to be treated more seriously than dismissed as a fit of pique. That just isn't very professional.

Sir Kim and Christopher Steele haven't done their country any good with this ridiculous charade, rather the opposite. Why Trump would not question the most fundamental intelligence arrangements within the Five Eyes circle is quite beyond imagination. That is a far weightier issue than petty political revenge.
