No. Reagan was not as crass as Trump is, but used humor to make his point. But it was a different era.

No. This is more fun. Reagan was not known for his confrontations.

This might be President Trump’s greatest Twitter thread ever.

Things were different in Reagan’s day. The Democrats weren’t full-blown communists (most weren’t, anyways).

And President Reagan didn’t have Twitter. Had the medium existed, I have no doubt he would have used it effectively. They didn’t call Ronald Reagan the “Great Communicator” for nothing.

“Progressive” Democrats in Congress hailing from countries whose governments are a total zero, the most
corrupt and inept, are loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful
Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.

Muzzies finagled themselves into OUR Congress and are doing what they were ordered to do ....

Divide and conquer.

The Clitless Wonder---Omar---is running around, on our dime, reving up the lunatic Allah types.

Their scimitars are clenched in their teeth as they ready themselves for the takeover.

YES! What a colossal disappointment GHW Bush turned out to be ... I hope DJT has a better plan for succession.

RE Reagan:

No, Reagan was more of a humorist; knew how to get things done by being firm but keeping a smile on his face - and his opponent’s face as well. The dems weren’t open communist f-tards like they are now. Some of them were, but for the most part, not.

Trump, on the other hand, just kicks them in the balls - and then smiles. It’s actually fun to watch - if it wasn’t so serious.

Reagan was needed for THAT time.

Trump is needed for THIS time.

Is this what is was like in the 80's with Ronald Reagan?

Largely yes. But the country wasn't as divided then, there were a lot of Democrats who still loved America and the American Dream. Democrats and Republicans were then said to have common goals for America's success, but only divided on how to achieve them.

Reagan was able to quickly undo the horrendous Carter years. But he wasn't fighting outright communists and moslems in our Congress whose goal is to tear down and completely destroy the U.S.

Reagan restored pride in the U.S. in the post-Vietnam era, much like Trump is restoring pride in the U.S. during these communist take-over years.

The magnitude of the internal enemy today is far, far larger than the one Reagan fought and their goals are far more nefarious; they have literally pushed us to the precipice and Trump is trying to stop their final shove over the brink. So the feelings we have today are much more intense than we felt during the Reagan era.

Reagan was a master of stating the obvious in a humorous way.

No, Reagan was great! Trump is even better...because we need a street fighter now. During Reagan’s time the left and the press still maintained some veneer of civility.

In it’s own way - Reagan wasn’t as vociferous, but then again, the world wasn’t as vociferous. And there were still a few in the MSM and on the Left that had some sense of ethics and morality...Trump is what Reagan would have needed to be in this environment and Reagan came from an era that precluded that.
