I was knocking doors for one of our Forest For Oregon events the weekend after the election. I was walking past this house that had Kate Brown signs all over her house and cars. I was going to skip it, then thought what would this person think about our WWII Vets presentation?
I knocked the door and this woman answered it and I began talking about our event. She was interested, but said she had to go to their election decompression and celebration saying she was a Precinct Person and organized the town etc.
I acted like I didn’t know what she was talking about and continued on. Turns out the celebration was the next week and her and her husband came to our event and loved it. This method cuts across both Parties and will be a force here in Oregon when you can talk to the hardest of the hard core Dems.
