organized by a network called Lights for Liberty, and there was a separated but related event called March to Close the Concentration Camps. Organizers from Lights for Liberty include a New York activist named Elizabeth Cronise McLaughlin and a local organizer named Patty Lampman; they were assisted by the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition, American Friends Service Committee, multiple chapters of Indivisible, and the ACLU of Colorado, whose representative Ana Temu is quoted in the article. Public officials supporting the protests include Colorado AG Phil Weiser and Congressmen Joe Neguse and Jason Crow.

The Lights for Liberty group was shocked, shocked I tell you, that a bunch of radicals showed up and things got out of hand. The leader cancelled their rally and told all of the “why can’t we all just get along” useful liberal idiots to go home. She couldn’t understand how her nice peaceful rally went south. Got a real taste of who the poor downtrodden refugees really are.

On a public relation level this is just plain stupid.
Outside of the liberal bubble American’s want a secure border and they want the illegals deported.
Replacing an American flag with Mexico’s flag does not win them any support.
