Much of this boils down to basic Civics:
Three co-equal branches of government:
Legislators make laws
Executive branch enforces laws
Judicial branch interprets and applies laws
Trump and ICE and enforcing the laws that the legislative branch has previously passed.
If the current legislators don’t like the laws, they can try to write new laws. That’s what they are there for.
But for legislators to argue that the Executive branch should not enforce the law ought to be a non-starter. It is risible. But I guess we stopped teaching Civics some time ago.

Of course that’s all thrown to the wind when Dems don’t get their way, especially with President Trump in office.
They blatantly ignore the rule of law, lie and don’t give a whit who knows it.
