Every other RINO VOTED FOR HER. Think about that for a minute - the RINOs we hate so much (with the one exception here) have a 90% track record on Trump’s judges. Not a single Democrat EVEN COMES CLOSE (in fact, I doubt there’s a single one who’s sided with us on any contested vote - they only vote with us, sometimes, when the guy is going to be confirmed anyway).
And one more thing, when Collins did her “I need more time” bit (sisterhood crap), it meant that the Republicans only had 49 votes, until Collins got her way and finally voted for him. Had Roy Moore actually won in Alabama, Collins wouldn’t have mattered - SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN OUTVOTED. Had ONE OTHER Republican made it to the Senate, even with Moore losing, Collins wouldn’t have mattered, she would have been outvoted again.
So, perhaps we ‘principled’ FReepers who sit out elections because so-and-so Republican is a RINO who said bad things about Trump should be the ones to BLAME. Because all it would have taken was a few thousand people like us to hold their noses in November 2016, or November 2014, and we would have had that one extra seat, and this entire circus WOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.
...and by the way, letting Dems win in November only gives them POWER, it doesn’t do a damn thing to reform the GOPe, that has to be done in the Primaries, and ONLY in the Primaries.
